Today, Saturday, the head of the Progressive Socialist Party, MP Timur Jumblatt, met with the Sheikh of the Druze community, Sheikh Dr. Sami Abi Al-Muna, leading a large delegation, and in the presence of party MPs. Jumblatt thanked the Sheikh for "the efforts they exert to enhance the institutional role of the council and the national presence of the community on all levels and to preserve the status of its members." He highlighted "the recent expatriate meeting in the spiritual council to strengthen communication and solidarity between residents and expatriates." He called for "the cessation of wasting time on the issue of electing a president for the republic and appointing a new governor for the Bank of Lebanon to manage the state's financial affairs, away from disputes."
