The President of the General Labor Union, Bashara Al-Asmar, condemned and denounced "the horrific massacre committed by the Zionist enemy in Nabatiyeh, which reflects the profound killing machine entrenched in the occupying entity, evident in the daily massacres taking place in Gaza and Southern Lebanon." In a statement, he demanded that "Arab and international parties intervene to declare a comprehensive ceasefire in Gaza and Southern Lebanon, and to remove the machine of destruction, killing, violence, persecution, and oppression represented by the primary enemy of humanity, which occupies Palestine and a part of Southern Lebanon, and refuses to adhere to the bare minimum of human rights."
