Zelensky from the Front: It is an Honor for Me to Be Here Today

The office of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced today, Sunday, that “Zelensky visited Ukrainian troops on the southeastern front and awarded them medals, amid ongoing speculation about the possible dismissal of the highly popular army commander.” Zelensky stated in a statement after visiting the Zaporizhia region, "It is an honor for me to be here today, to support the warriors and honor them. They are facing a difficult and vital mission to repel the enemy and defend Ukraine." The office added that "Zelensky visited the forward positions of the Ukrainian army near the village of Robotyne, which is almost on the front line," noting that Robotyne was liberated in southeastern Ukraine in late August during the counteroffensive against Russian forces. Zelensky’s visit to the combat lines comes amid uncertainty regarding the fate of Ukrainian army commander Valerii Zaluzhnyi.
