The "Strong Lebanon" bloc condemned "the aggressive actions carried out by Israel against the Palestinian people in Gaza and against southern Lebanon." It warned of "the dangers of Israeli escalation in the war, based on support from some countries that have expressed themselves in this regard."
After its regular meeting chaired by MP Gebran Bassil, the bloc called for "the formulation of a national position in light of the consultative round led by Minister Bassil with political leaders," considering that "the right of Palestinians to resist in their land is sacred, and the right of Lebanese to protect their security and stability is also sacred."
At the same time, the bloc rejected any actions that could provoke war in our country, thus emphasizing the necessity of rejecting and preventing the use of Lebanese territory as a base for operations against Israel, while also committing to supporting resistance in the event of an Israeli attack against us.
The bloc renewed its warning regarding "the risks posed by the presence of Syrian refugees in Lebanon and the flow of more of them," holding all political and security officials responsible for failing to take necessary actions to stop the new wave of displacement, regulate the status of the refugees residing in Lebanon in preparation for their return, and take all required legal measures from ministries, administrations, relevant agencies, and municipalities against anyone violating international and Lebanese laws.
