Title: Beijing to Host World Aquatics Championships in 2029

The International Swimming Federation announced on Sunday that Beijing will host the World Aquatics Championships in 2029, marking the return of the event to China for the first time in nearly 20 years. The federation stated that China won the rights to organize and host the championship, which includes swimming, artistic swimming, diving, water polo, and other competitions. Shanghai hosted the championship in 2011. The current 21st edition is taking place in the Qatari capital, Doha, until February 18. Singapore will host the next edition of the championship in 2025, while the following edition will be held in 2027 in Budapest, Hungary.
