Belarusian tennis player Aryna Sabalenka defeated Russian Elena Rybakina 6-2, 3-6, 6-3 to reach the semifinals of the WTA Finals after a round-robin match that was delayed due to bad weather in Cancun, Mexico, on Friday. Sabalenka commented after the match, "I didn't think too much about this matchup." She added jokingly, "I told myself I would go into the match and try my best, and if I lost, I would go home and have a nice vacation. I was just trying to give my best performance."
