China Successfully Launches New Satellite

China successfully launched a satellite into space today, Wednesday, as part of its upcoming lunar missions. The Xinhua News Agency reported that a Long March 8 rocket lifted off from the spaceport on Hainan Island in southern China, carrying the "Qichao-2" satellite, which has now separated and is on its way to lunar orbit. The China National Space Administration stated that the satellite's solar panels and communication antennas have been activated.
