The head of the Lebanese Forces Party, MP Sami Gemayel, met with Belgian Ambassador Kwin Verveik to discuss recent developments, attended by party officials including Zina Habib, Michel Abi Abdullah, Marwan Abdullah, and Ghouwa Kousifi. According to a statement from the Lebanese Forces, the meeting focused on the crises Lebanon is facing amid a deadlock in solutions. The head of the party emphasized to his visitor that "Lebanon is held hostage by Hezbollah, which has seized the institutions and taken them as hostages, and that escaping this reality has become an absolute priority, requiring an unconventional approach to restore the state's authority." Gemayel also met with Canadian Ambassador Stephanie McColm, where they discussed the presidential elections and "the destructive role Hezbollah is playing in Lebanon, especially since it is listed as a terrorist organization in Canada," as well as the bilateral relations between the two countries.
