Meeting in Beirut Governorate Discusses Removal of Violations

A meeting was held in the Beirut Governorate, chaired by Marwan Abboud, with the participation of Beirut Mayor Abdallah Darwish and Ghobeiri Mayor Ma'n Khalil, representatives of official security agencies, city guards, and the municipal police of Ghobeiri, as well as agencies operating in both municipalities. The meeting aimed to coordinate efforts to open the road from Beirut to Ghobeiri (Sabra - Dena) and remove encroachments along the common boundary. The removal of obstacles, carts, stalls from the middle of the road, and violations at the butcher market will take place tomorrow at 8 AM.

It was decided to conduct permanent patrols by Beirut municipality guards and Ghobeiri municipal police to remove any violations and to confiscate and destroy goods belonging to offenders, taking all practical and legal measures against violators to keep the road passable for vehicles and citizens. Additionally, it was decided that health inspection agencies from both municipalities will inspect shops, establishments, and butcheries, each within their jurisdiction.
