Hamas' Response to Statements by UN Rapporteur on Palestine

Hamas viewed the statements of the UN Special Rapporteur on Human Rights in the Palestinian Territories, Francesca Albanese, as an "additional acknowledgment from a high-ranking UN official, putting the international community and the United Nations before a real test to protect humanity and fulfill their responsibilities in preventing acts of genocide that humanity has witnessed for decades." Hamas called on the International Criminal Court to move beyond its silence and take urgent action to hold the leaders of the occupation accountable for the acts of genocide and ethnic cleansing against the Palestinian people in Gaza, witnessed by the world.
