YouTube Introduces New Channel Pages for Creators

YouTube has announced a redesign of creator channels on its television app, which includes accessible features such as the subscription button, along with an updated design and other modifications first introduced to artist pages last fall. The platform stated in a press release, "Artist pages were part of a significant overhaul across the YouTube site, which also includes integrated voice search in the search bar, a redesigned menu for easier navigation, and the addition of a new vertical video information list and larger thumbnails, among other things." Regarding Shorts, YouTube explained that "the update focuses on providing an immersive layout that highlights relevant content and makes the subscription button easier to access." The platform plans to roll out the update to all creators, although it may take a few weeks for all viewers to see it. YouTube noted that "the changes affect channel pages on television only. The updated page offers users the option to play a mix of video content from the channel alongside the new subscription button." The platform suggests that "all creators prepare a full-sized image of 16x9 pixels for the channel logo, as the new image now displays from edge to edge."
