A widely circulated video on social media in Saudi Arabia has shocked many users. The footage captures the moment a woman runs over several girls sitting on a sidewalk in Al Kharj, in central Saudi Arabia. The video shows the girls sitting next to one another on the curb when the driver of a vehicle, intending to park it, suddenly accelerated towards the girls who were sitting in front of a store.
The video shows a girl driving a vehicle causing a tragic incident of running over women on the sidewalk of a shopping area. As the driver attempted to regain control after hitting the girls, she failed and reversed the vehicle, leaving the girls lying on the ground amid a crowd of gathered onlookers. The woman also collided with another car that was parked behind her, before quickly getting out of her vehicle in a panic to check on the girls, as shown in the footage.
For its part, the official spokesperson for traffic said that the video showing a vehicle veering off course was acted upon immediately, resulting in injuries to two women. The driver of the vehicle has been referred to the traffic authority.
