The Ministry of Public Health strongly condemned the "attack that directly targeted the Islamic Health Authority center in the town of Haneen today, which also targeted the ambulance belonging to the center, resulting in the deaths of two martyrs and injuring several others." In a statement, it noted that "this attack on a non-military health center is not the first of its kind since the start of the Israeli aggression on southern Lebanon, but it is recurring against more than one health center, violating international laws and norms." The ministry emphasized the necessity of "protecting health workers and health centers, especially as they are engaged in medical and humanitarian work that cannot be obstructed or targeted in these harsh circumstances, and the continued dangerous violations by the Israeli enemy are a matter for the international community, especially humanitarian organizations, foremost among them the World Health Organization and the International Committee of the Red Cross, which stress in their systems and statutes the need to protect health workers and their centers and their means of transportation."
