European Stocks End the Week Higher

European stocks rose on Friday, ending the week with gains, while German stocks closed lower as SAP's revenue outlook impacted the technology sector, which recorded its largest weekly decline this year. Shares of software company SAP fell 4.2 percent after the company lowered its full-year forecasts, leading to a 0.2 percent decrease in the DAX index. The European Stoxx 600 index rose by 0.3 percent at the close, continuing its gains for a fourth consecutive session. The technology sector index in Europe dropped 0.4 percent, making it the biggest loser among major sectors this week with a decline of 4.8 percent. The mining sector index fell 1.5 percent, affected by some disappointing results. The European Stoxx 600 index increased by 0.9 percent this week, driven by rising UK stocks following signs of slowing domestic inflation. The FTSE 100 index in London rose three percent this week, marking its best performance in nearly four months.
