The Ukrainian Ministry of Finance announced on Monday that "the state received $1.34 billion under a World Bank program to support the government's capacity to manage public expenditures." The statement clarified that "the financing consists of a loan of $1.086 billion from the World Bank, a grant of $190 million from Norway, a grant of $50 million from the United States, and a grant of $20 million from Switzerland." The ministry stated that "the funds will be used for partial compensation of non-security and defense-related expenditures in the Ukrainian budget, including social assistance for the elderly and payments to government emergency service personnel."
