How Coffee Destroys Weight Loss Plans

Dr. Michael Mosley, a dietary expert and author of several books on nutrition and weight loss, stated, "It may seem easy to make healthy choices when it comes to meals, but what many overlook is their drinking habits, especially coffee." He published important tips on his website Fast 80, which provides guidelines for members on how to achieve a healthy weight. He emphasized that "coffee and fruit juices are among the worst beverages in our diets, as they can contain a large number of calories without providing a feeling of fullness."

He wrote in his blog: "If you find that you eat well, exercise, and take care of your healthy lifestyle but still struggle with weight gain or the inability to lose it, there may be a valid reason for that." He added that "coffee and fruit juices should be taken into account when following a weight loss plan. For example, consuming a daily latte could add about 1,330 calories per week, which is roughly equivalent to five and a half chocolate bars."

Coffee without Additives

Dr. Mosley advises that "if a person relies on coffee for morning energy, they can make a simple switch by consuming it without additives like milk or sugar to achieve their weight loss goals or prevent weight gain."
