Iraqi armed factions claimed responsibility today, Sunday, for an attack on a chemical facility in the Israeli port of Haifa that occurred last Friday. The "Islamic Resistance in Iraq" announced its responsibility for the attack in a statement, saying, "Continuing our approach in resisting occupation, and in support of our people in Gaza and in response to the massacres committed by the usurping entity against Palestinian civilians, including children, women, and the elderly, the Mujahideen of the Islamic Resistance in Iraq attacked the chemical facility in the port of Haifa on Friday, March 1, 2024, using drones." Last month, Iraqi National Security Advisor Qassem al-Araji confirmed the Iraqi government's clear and explicit stance in condemning any violation of Iraqi sovereignty and rejected Iraq being a battlefield for settling scores.
