Traders reported that "Algeria's Sonatrach and Saudi Arabia's Aramco have raised the official selling prices for liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) in October by rates ranging from four to ten percent compared to September, amid rising oil prices and increasing global demand for LPG." Aramco raised the official selling price for propane in October by $50 to $600 per ton, while the official selling price for butane soared by $55 to $615 per ton. Propane and butane are two types of liquefied petroleum gas with different boiling points. Sonatrach raised the official selling price for propane for October by $30 to $560 per ton, while the official selling price for butane increased by $20 to $570 per ton.
