Taiwan Detects Major Incursion by Chinese Air Force

Taiwan's Ministry of National Defense reported on Wednesday that "ten Chinese Air Force planes entered the island's air defense zone, accompanied by five Chinese warships participating in combat readiness patrols," marking the second such incursion this week. The ministry stated that, from 01:00 UTC, it had detected a total of 25 Chinese aircraft engaged in operations at sea, including J-10 and J-16 fighter jets, as well as H-6 bombers. Taiwan has repeatedly complained about Beijing's military activities near it over the past three years, as China intensifies pressure in an attempt to force the island to accept its sovereignty.
