Lebanese artist Nicole Saba bid farewell to her dog "Cookie" through an emotional message expressing her grief over the loss. In her message, Saba stated, "A true human with genuine and sensitive emotions feels sad when they lose an animal they’ve raised for many years, just like they feel when they lose a loved one... Only those who have raised an animal and lived with it for a lifetime will understand and appreciate my feelings and sadness."
Saba continued, "I can only say that when you lose an animal that lived with you for over 15 years, which you raised with all your heart and cherished in every way, you’re at peace with your conscience. I also say that a dog takes on the personality of its owner, and you were filled with energy, spirit, life, and shyness... So, I can only express my deep respect and appreciation for a being that was loyal to you every moment and gives you without any 'returns'... It gives you a warm welcome every time you enter your home... It gives you a sense of positivity, tenderness, and love, living every moment with you in its joy and sorrow... And without 'returns,' something you can never find in a human."
