French Ambassador Hervé Magro visited Foreign Minister Abdullah Bou Habib before the meeting at the Pine Palace, where he briefed him on the preparations underway for the arrangements related to the conference aimed at supporting the army, scheduled to take place in Paris at the end of this month. According to information from "Al-Jumhuriya," it has been revealed that the conference will be postponed to a later date due to the ongoing preparations and communications with the countries listed as funders and supporters, which have not yet led to any final agreement. This is pending ongoing discussions at various material, technical, and military levels. Bou Habib highlighted Lebanon's appreciation for the role and the continuous follow-up of the French regarding the current situation, noting France's desire to curb escalation and restore calm in southern Lebanon. He emphasized the importance of "searching for sustainable solutions to the current situation through the comprehensive and undiminished implementation of Resolution 1701."
