Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan affirmed today, Saturday, that "the only path to security and stability in the Middle East, including Israel, is the establishment of a Palestinian state." He added during a panel discussion at the Munich Security Conference, "We are working toward achieving a ceasefire and the withdrawal of Israeli forces from Gaza," and continued, "The priority now is to end the humanitarian disaster in Gaza, and what the occupation army is doing in Gaza will push a new generation toward extremism." He further stated, "The only way to achieve security and stability in the region is through the establishment of a Palestinian state, and we are currently focused on a ceasefire and Israel's withdrawal from Gaza." He concluded, "Establishing relations with Israel depends on the Arab Peace Initiative, and there will be no establishment of relations with Israel without an end to the fighting in Gaza."
