The Minister of Education in the caretaker government, Abbas Al-Halabi, revealed in a television interview that "there are 10,000 students suffering due to the war in the south, and we are working with the Educational Federation to provide them with the infrastructure for remote learning." He added: "We are determined to conduct official exams, and there will be a distinct model for southern students different from the rest of the students in Lebanon who are attending a regular school year, and we will announce this model soon," emphasizing that they "have not been wronged." Al-Halabi announced a move to cancel the official brevet exams, stating: "I will present the decree to the Council of Ministers at the earliest opportunity to exempt the ministry from completing them."
