A Well-Planned Ambush Captures the Mastermind Behind a Theft

The General Directorate of Internal Security Forces - Public Relations Division, issued the following statement: "On 31-07-2023, unknown individuals entered the home of citizen (R. F., born in 1983), located in the town of Gosta, and stole a metal safe containing gold and jewelry, then fled to an unknown location. Immediately, the relevant units of the Internal Security Forces were tasked with conducting field and investigative procedures to identify the perpetrators of the burglary and arrest them. As a result of extensive investigations and inquiries, the information division was able to identify their identities, including the mastermind behind the operation, known as M. S. (born in 1984, Lebanese), a person with prior convictions for theft. On 11-09-2023, after careful monitoring and surveillance, a patrol from the division managed to arrest him in a well-planned ambush in the Marja area, while he was in a silver BMW vehicle, which was also confiscated. During the investigation, he confessed to what was attributed to him regarding his participation with another individual in executing the theft of the safe from the aforementioned home in Gosta. The necessary legal procedures were taken against him, and he was placed, along with the vehicle, in the relevant authority based on the instructions of the competent judiciary. Efforts are ongoing to arrest his accomplice."
