Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu indicated today, Monday, that "we will do everything necessary to eliminate Hamas, and we will work to minimize civilian casualties and provide assistance." In an interview with "FOX NEWS," Netanyahu stated, "We must destroy Hamas; otherwise, there will be no future in the Middle East." He added, "Failing to eliminate the remaining Hamas brigades in Rafah will allow them to regroup and take control of the Gaza Strip." He noted that he agreed with U.S. President Joe Biden that "we must destroy Hamas, and we cannot leave a quarter of its army in place as it currently is in Rafah."
Netanyahu continued, "I had frank conversations with Biden, but I am responsible for leading my country, and the majority of citizens support me." Later, outside the interview, Netanyahu said, "We are on the path to complete victory. On the way to this victory, we have already eliminated number 4 in Hamas. Numbers 3, 2, and 1 are next. They will all be dead, and we will reach all of them," without revealing the identity of the individual referred to as number 4.
