Polish Army: Russian Missile Breached Polish Airspace

The Polish armed forces have accused Russia of violating Polish airspace early on Sunday morning with a cruise missile launched at targets in western Ukraine. The armed forces stated: "On March 24 at 04:23 AM (03:23 GMT), there was a violation of Polish airspace by a cruise missile fired by Russia's long-range aviation the previous night." They added, "The object entered Polish airspace near the town of Osierdów (in the Lublin region) and remained there for 39 seconds. Throughout the entire flight, it was detected by military radar systems." The Polish Foreign Ministry indicated that "we will demand explanations from Russia regarding the airspace violation." Ukrainian officials reported that Russia conducted an aerial attack on the capital Kyiv early in the morning and that Ukrainian air defense systems were involved in repelling the attack.
