The body of Syrian actor Mohammad Qnua was buried on Sunday afternoon in Damascus, having been taken from Dar Al-Shifa Hospital. A prayer was held for him after Asr prayer at Al-Mazzeh Grand Mosque - Sheikh Saad, and he was laid to rest in Al-Mazzeh Cemetery. A large number of Syrian stars attended the funeral, including Suzan Najmuddin, Amal Arafa, Abbas Nouri, Firas Ibrahim, Leth Hajjo, Rawa'a Al-Saadi, Abeer Shams Al-Din, Milad Yusuf, Ayman Radha, among others.
Condolences for men will be held for three days starting Sunday evening in Al-Mazzeh, and will also take place tonight in Cairo at Al-Hosari Mosque, attended by Mohammad Qnua's brother, while condolences for women will begin on Monday and last for three days.
Syrian star Mohammad Qnua passed away on Saturday, the second day of Eid al-Fitr 2023, at the age of 49, after suffering a heart crisis. The deceased hailed from the Qnua family, known for years in the comedic theater "Dababis" under the name of the Qnua Brothers. He was the son of the late Marwan Qnua and started his artistic career with Yasser Al-Azmeh in 1995 in "Miraya".
The late artist had many famous artistic works, such as "Bab Al-Hara", "Tahoun Al-Shar", "Qamar Sham", and others. He also appeared in Ramadan 2023 in the role of Shouman in the series "Al-Arabji".
