Evictions in Bourj Hammoud for Syrian Displaced Persons

Residents of Bourj Hammoud issued a warning via loudspeakers to Syrian displaced persons in the area, demanding that they vacate homes and businesses. They stated in a declaration: "As residents, we urge every Syrian in Bourj Hammoud and its surroundings to leave the area immediately before Friday, April 12, 2024, at the latest, and not to return at all to avoid potential anger, violence, and security chaos, and to prevent bloodshed, especially in light of the complete absence of the state and the failure of security and municipal agencies to fulfill their duties in protecting Lebanese citizens."
