Police Attacks Iranian Goalkeeper on the Field Over Hug

Iranian police attacked Esteghlal goalkeeper Hossein Hosseini for responding to a fan's request for a hug during a football match. After the incident, the police removed the goalkeeper from the field amid boos from the crowd directed at the police's behavior. Iranian law prohibits the display of emotions between genders in public, as well as any relationships outside of marriage.
