Famous European Championship Changes Name to

European sources revealed on Tuesday that McDonald's has acquired the naming rights to one of the strongest football leagues in Europe. According to the British outlet "The Sun," McDonald's has secured the naming rights for Ligue 1 in France, meaning the league will now be called "McDonald's League 1."

For the past five years, the league was associated with the food delivery service Uber Eats, but that partnership has now ended, and the league's name will be linked to McDonald's. According to the report, McDonald's will pay 20 million euros annually to rebrand Ligue 1.

An official announcement has yet to be made, but according to Radio Monte Carlo, the name "McDonald's League" is expected to be adopted from next season in France. The French league has struggled to secure significant sponsorship deals with major companies due to weak competition, which has been dominated by Paris Saint-Germain in recent years.
