British director Christopher Nolan has revealed his favorite seating positions while watching a film in theaters. Nolan pointed out that his preferred spot depends on the type of lens used, stating, "If the Cinemascope technique is used, I prefer to sit near the front, specifically in the middle of the third row. However, if the film is shown in IMAX theaters, I would choose to sit behind the midpoint, directly in the center." He continued, "When using a 70 mm lens, you let the screen disappear, and you experience a three-dimensional feeling without glasses, especially with a massive screen filling your view, making you feel as if you’re inside the film." Nolan added that watching his new film "Oppenheimer" in its special IMAX format offers the best possible experience for viewing the movie.
