The Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemned in the strongest terms the targeting of the Jabalia camp in the Gaza Strip by Israeli army forces, which resulted in the death and injury of a large number of innocent civilians, describing it as "inhumane." They emphasized that halting military operations in the region is an urgent priority.
In a statement published on its "X" account, the Kingdom expressed its complete condemnation and rejection of the repeated targeting by Israeli occupation forces of areas densely populated by civilians, as well as its continued violation of international laws and international humanitarian law, in light of the international community's failure to pressure the occupation government to agree to an immediate ceasefire and humanitarian truce in accordance with the United Nations General Assembly resolution issued last Friday, October 27, 2023, which was met with broad international consensus.
The statement continued, "The Kingdom affirms that the severe humanitarian situations resulting from the ongoing escalation can never be justified, and that stopping the bloodshed, protecting civilians, and ending military operations are urgent priorities that cannot be postponed or delayed. Failure to adhere to these demands will inevitably lead to a humanitarian catastrophe for which both the Israeli occupation and the international community will bear responsibility."
