The Russian news agency reported that Russia's permanent representative to the UN in Geneva, Gennady Gatilov, stated that representatives from Russia and the UN may meet this month for a new round of talks to facilitate the export of Russian agricultural products and fertilizers. Moscow attributes the collapse of the Black Sea Grain Agreement last year, which allowed grain exports from Ukrainian ports, to a lack of progress in removing obstacles to its own exports. Gatilov, who represents Russia in UN institutions in Geneva, emphasized that Moscow is insistent on lifting sanctions on companies and banks connected to Russian agricultural exports.
