The Armenian National Security Service (NSS) reported a breach of the ceasefire along the Armenian-Azerbaijani border in the Syunik region, resulting in the injury of an Azerbaijani soldier. According to the NSS statement, the incident occurred when an Armenian shepherd entered Azerbaijani territory in search of his lost livestock, leading to gunfire exchanged between border guards from both sides, which resulted in the injury of the Azerbaijani soldier.
The statement also mentioned that the Armenian border guards are prepared to conduct a joint investigation with their Azerbaijani counterparts. The Armenian side has started trying to clarify the circumstances of the incident and to understand why and how the shepherd and the herd crossed the border, promising to report the findings later.
