Security Forces Capture Motorcycle Thief

The General Directorate of Internal Security Forces – Public Relations Division announced that as part of the daily monitoring carried out by the Internal Security Forces to reduce crimes in various Lebanese regions, information was obtained regarding an unknown individual committing motorcycle thefts in the southern suburbs. Several video clips were circulated on social media showing him carrying out these thefts. Following this, the Information Branch was tasked with field and investigative procedures to identify the suspect's location and apprehend him. As a result of extensive investigations and inquiries, they were able to identify his identity, which is A. M. (born in 1993, Lebanese). On July 25, 2023, after precise surveillance, one of the branch patrols spotted him and arrested him in the vicinity of Al-Jnah. During the interrogation, he confessed to the charges against him regarding his involvement in dozens of motorcycle thefts in the southern suburbs, as well as admitting to drug use. Legal measures were taken against him, and he was referred to the competent authority, based on the judicial notice.
