The police in Brescia, northern Italy, announced today that they have arrested two individuals for spreading terrorist propaganda online associated with the Palestinian Islamic Jihad movement and the organizations "ISIS" and Al-Qaeda. In a statement, they revealed that the suspects are a Pakistani citizen and an Italian citizen of Pakistani descent. The arrests occurred following an investigation that began in October 2022. Interior Minister Matteo Piantedosi stated on Sunday that Italy remains on alert for potential terrorist attacks following an incident earlier this weekend in Paris that resulted in the death of a German tourist and injuries to two others. The Italian news agency (ANSA) quoted the minister saying, "We have confidence in our traditional preventive systems, but caution must remain high."
