The African Football Confederation (CAF) has preliminarily settled today, Monday, on the proposed date for hosting the upcoming edition of the Africa Cup of Nations, scheduled for 2025 in Morocco, during the months of July and August. A source from the CAF competitions committee revealed a "preliminary agreement between CAF and the Moroccan federation to hold the tournament in the summer of 2025, specifically in July and August."
It was confirmed that "the date was agreed upon under the auspices of the International Federation (FIFA), following consultations that began several months ago and peaked during the recent edition of the tournament, which concluded this month in Côte d'Ivoire." The proposed date is currently set from July 20 to August 16 or 17, 2025. Organizing the next edition presents various challenges.
