The Italian Agnelli Family Supports "Juventus" Financially

The Italian Agnelli Family Supports

Juventus, competing in the Italian Serie A and facing financial difficulties, announced on Friday that the Agnelli family is committed to supporting the club with €200 million ($221 million) through the family-owned Exor holding company. Exor, based in the Netherlands, controls Juventus with a stake of approximately 64%. The holding company has committed to covering this stake in cash, matching it with an amount of up to €128 million, which has nearly been paid in full. Juventus stated that, since negotiations with banks regarding the guarantee of the remaining part of the deal reflect "difficult market conditions," they turned to Exor, which has committed to purchasing new shares potentially unsold for a maximum amount of €72 million. Juventus added that Exor will receive a fee of €1.8 million for its role in guaranteeing the deal. The club expects to complete the share sale by the end of April next year.
