MP Qassem Hashim from the "Development and Liberation" bloc noted that "some have grown accustomed to a policy of deception, stalling, and evading responsibility regarding the need for dialogue and communication to discuss rescue measures, the foundation of which is the election of a president for the republic. In light of the complex exceptional circumstances our country is going through, dialogue is necessary to search for common ground among the national components that facilitate presidential elections, free from imposing wills or yielding to external dictates seeking their own interests through the crisis and its complications." He added, "Those who recklessly distribute accusations should be attentive to the contributions of those who refuse dialogue under flimsy pretexts that are far from the truth, which have led the country to this level of crisis intensity. Dialogue, under the Lebanese structure, is a principle and a continuous logic to overcome many obstacles. Historical experiences show that Lebanon needed dialogue among its people during the crises that have spanned the years. So why the stubbornness and obstinacy when saving the nation is a priority? We cannot wait for ambiguous opinions linked to choices that are distant from the common interest. What kind of nation do they want?"
