A medical source from the Dhi Qar Health Directorate in southern Iraq reported today that a rat invaded a heart hospital and injured a government employee during his shift. The source mentioned that "maintenance work and excavations behind the Nasiriyah Heart Hospital, part of the Dhi Qar Health Directorate, caused a large rat to enter the hospital building late yesterday, where it attacked an employee during his shift and bit his ear." The source added that "the employee was treated after receiving anti-bite injections, and the rat was later killed, while the medical staff at the hospital continued their efforts to combat these rats using repellent pesticides."
