The Border Ports Authority in Iraq announced today, Friday, that two travelers were apprehended in possession of 88 MasterCard cards intended for smuggling at the Arar crossing. A statement from the authority indicated that the "Arar border post management, in a joint operation with the customs center and customs police, succeeded in detaining two Iraqi travelers found with 88 MasterCard cards, concealed without declaration." The statement also noted that "a joint committee was formed, an official seizure record was organized, and the suspects were referred to the Arar customs police station for appropriate legal action."
