Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko commented on the European Union's foreign policy chief Josep Borrell's call to prepare for a long-term war between NATO and Russia, stating that Minsk and Moscow do not have time for a new war with NATO. Lukashenko said, "This is nonsense! This person is bad, you know, he is a fool with no connection to politics! If he were smart, he wouldn't think this way. God help us and Russia to deal with these problems, what will we do? Will we add problems to our problems? Anyone who thinks this way." The Belarusian leader noted that neither the Russians nor the Belarusians want to fight, emphasizing, "Are we eager to engage in a new war today? We need to deal with this. Especially now, when the situation is favorable not just for us but for them as well, so as not to lose Ukraine." Recently, EU foreign minister Josep Borrell stated that Russia would prevail in the Ukrainian conflict if the EU did not mobilize all its capabilities. He also expressed the opinion that Russia would not settle for a "limited regional victory" and called for "preparation for a highly intense conflict for a long time."
