Israel Announces Interception of Drone Coming from Syria

The Israeli army announced the interception of an "aerial target" that infiltrated from the Syrian side into the Golan Heights. The Israeli army radio reported that "the air force intercepted a drone that crossed from Syria into northern areas," confirming that Israeli aircraft immediately dealt with the drone that breached the airspace coming from Syria.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported early Friday that an aerial bombardment, likely Israeli, targeted a building in Baniyas. The observatory noted that three powerful explosions resulted from the attack, which caused widespread destruction to a villa in the Batraiya area on the southern outskirts of Baniyas on the Syrian coast.
