However, the Cabinet's official Facebook account completely denied these claims, affirming that there is no truth to the alleged shortage in the strategic stock of goods or any food crisis in Egypt, nor any request for citizens to stockpile food supplies.
The Cabinet confirmed that the circulated post is fake and not issued by the Cabinet, emphasizing that all types of food supplies are currently available and that sufficient quantities are being supplied daily to markets across all Egyptian governorates. It also indicated that the strategic stock of essential goods is secure and sufficient to meet needs for the upcoming months, reinforcing Cairo's ability to navigate these crises and maintain stability in the country's food security.
