At the invitation of its president, composer Hiba Kawas, the National Higher Institute of Music - Conservatory celebrated "Teacher's Day" at a dinner held at the “Babel” restaurant. The dinner brought together a large number of its educational staff exceeding 130 professors, as a celebration of the "sacred occasion," as Kawas stated, and in appreciation of the significant efforts the professors have devoted with dedication, love, and sincerity. These efforts have led to the Conservatory's return to brilliance, working like a beehive without stopping, and the institution has returned to its former glory after experiencing difficult circumstances that most institutions in Lebanon faced. Their endeavors and efforts resulted in the revival of academic, educational, and musical activity. In addition to individual teaching, which resumed in a regular, intensive, and diligent manner, the Conservatory witnessed the return of ensembles and orchestras, with regular concerts that managed to attract once again the music audience in Lebanon, filling the seats with an elite, diplomatic, political, and cultural presence, restoring the high musical glory that the Conservatory established through its professors, musicians, and orchestras. Thanks to the professors' efforts, numerous important musical activities were organized, including academic concerts for students, which began with piano concerts featuring 1,200 piano students across various Lebanese regions where the Conservatory has branches. These student academic concerts for other instruments will continue regularly and systematically throughout Lebanon. The dinner was an occasion for members of the institute’s educational family and some administrators to gather, commending Kawas' unifying initiative and her efforts in preserving and uplifting the institution, particularly her appreciation of the educational board and the attainment of their moral and material rights. "They are the pillars of the National Conservatory who dedicated their educational careers to the benefit of their institution and the preservation of its historical achievements, which are based on promoting musical culture and elevating Lebanon's civilizational status globally," Kawas stated.
