As the weather system persists, scenes of heavy flooding sweeping through Oman dominate social media amid ongoing rainfall in the country. Videos have shown black clouds blocking sunlight in the Al Buraimi Governorate, turning the area dark.
The same governorate has also experienced very strong storms accompanied by rain. Additionally, footage has documented military helicopter rescue operations that saved individuals stranded in the water during the current weather conditions.
Severe weather in Oman is expected to peak today, Tuesday, and continue until the evening of Wednesday, with other Gulf countries, including Bahrain and the UAE, likely to be affected in the upcoming hours.
