Former U.S. President Donald Trump expressed his happiness on Wednesday about representing the Republican Party as its presidential nominee in the upcoming elections. Both current President Joe Biden and former President Trump won their party nominations for the presidential election, marking their second consecutive face-off in about 70 years.
Trump stated on his platform Truth Social, “It is a great honor for me to represent the Republican Party as its presidential nominee. Our party is united and strong, and we fully recognize that we are running against the worst, most incompetent, corrupt, and destructive president in the history of the United States.”
He added, “Millions of people are invading our country, many of whom are from prisons and mental institutions in other countries. High-interest rates and inflation are choking our great middle class, our economy is bad, and our stock market is only rising because polls indicate strongly that we will win the 2024 presidential election.”
