Launch of the "Milad for Peace" Festival in Khan al-Efranj

The "Milad for Peace" Festival kicked off at the "Khan al-Efranj" in the city of Sidon, organized by the "Hariri Foundation for Sustainable Human Development," "Devotion for Welfare," and "Toura – Jezzine." The festival will continue until tomorrow afternoon. It features an exhibition of crafts and traditional foods, with 36 artisans and vendors offering traditional dishes and fast food. Accompanied by a varied entertainment program themed around the holidays, the activities are suitable for all ages. Proceeds from the festival will go to the support fund for needy patients at "Devotion," and the Hariri Foundation and "Toura – Jezzine" association support artisans through this initiative, providing emerging project owners in the crafts and traditional food sectors with space and opportunities to develop and market their work. A Christmas tree and decorative elements symbolizing the occasion were illuminated on the opening night in the central courtyard of the khan. The festival's opening was attended by MP Abdul Rahman al-Bizri, Hariri Foundation President Mrs. Bahia Hariri, President of the Sidon-Zahrani Municipal Union Reef Younan, Mayors of Baramiya George Saad, Bqosta Ibrahim Mazhar, and Salhia Nicolas Andraus, member of the political bureau of the Future Movement Nasser Hamoud, member of the Sidon municipal council Mahmoud Sharitah, Ambassador Abdul Mowla Al-Solh and Mrs. Rosie Suleiman Kanaan, President of the Caritas Sidon-Zahrani and Nabatieh region Eli Khattar, representative of the "Auda Foundation" Dana Moussa, and a large audience of fairgoers.
