The Palestinian Islamic resistance movement "Hamas" announced on Tuesday that it "submitted its response regarding a ceasefire agreement in Gaza mediated by Egypt and Qatar." The statement said: "The movement engaged with the proposal in a positive spirit to ensure a comprehensive and complete ceasefire, end the aggression against our people, guarantee relief, shelter, and reconstruction, lift the siege on the Gaza Strip, and achieve a prisoner exchange process." Hamas appreciated "the role of our brothers in Egypt and Qatar and all countries working to stop the brutal aggression against our people." For his part, the Qatari Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, announced that "his country received a positive response from Hamas regarding the framework agreement." Sheikh Mohammed, in a joint press conference with U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken, refused to provide further details about Hamas's response.
