UAE Announces Start of Oil Production from "Belbazem" Offshore Area

Adnoc, the Emirati company, announced today, Wednesday, the commencement of crude oil production from the "Belbazem" offshore area, "confirming the company’s commitment to responsibly contribute to meeting the increasing global energy demand." The "Elyasat Petroleum" company, a joint venture between Adnoc and the China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC), manages the "Belbazem" offshore area. Production capacity at the Belbazem offshore field is expected to gradually increase to 45,000 barrels per day of light crude oil and 27 million standard cubic feet per day of associated gas, contributing to Adnoc's goal of reaching 5 million barrels per day by 2027 and enabling the UAE to achieve self-sufficiency in gas. Elyasat Petroleum is considered a leader in applying modeling and analysis tools that employ artificial intelligence applications in the concession area managed by the company.
